LAKE CHARLES LA. – The Louisiana Swashbucklers have signed fan favorite Sammy Knight for his fifth season with the Bucs. Knight has put up impressive numbers over the last few seasons including last season when he caught 44 passes for 612 yards and 11 touchdowns. Knight has been able to run past opposing defenses as a deep threat receiver and excelled at yards after contact. This has made him one of the most proficient receivers in Swashbucklers history.

Knight also has the ability to run the ball when needed. He had seven carries for 45 yards and one rushing touchdown. In 2011 he led the Bucs in all-purpose yards with 687. In the conference championship against Houston Knight stepped in for an injured Ben McLaughlin and led the Bucs to defeat the undefeated Houston Stallions for the conference title.
